When you reflect on your personal hypothetical apocalypse plan (admit it, we all have one), you probably think about how you'll fight off violent looters, deal with mass panic, and battle zombies. However, as a whole, we don't really think about the mundane side of it all—the inevitable boredom, isolation, sickness, and learning information just through hearsay (and they say journalism is dead).
This is what happens in Into the Forest. In the film, Evan Rachel Wood and Ellen Page play two women battling the more realistic challenges that come from a dystopian world.
WhoSay sat down with the duo along with their co-star Max Minghella to talk about the movie's biggest takeaway, chopping wood, and apocalypse buddies.
"There's a lot of really practical things in the movie that I personally found fascinating," Minghella said when we asked what we should learn from the thought-provoking film. "We are probably on the precipice of this being a reality in our lives, these circumstances."
'Into the Forest' hits theaters July 21.
