Ellen Page and Evan Rachel Wood are set to begin work in B.C. on the feature adaptation of Jean Hegland’s acclaimed novel Into The Forest.

The movie, written and directed by Ontario’s Patricia Rozema (When Night is Falling), is scheduled to shoot from July 28 to Aug. 23 on Vancouver Island.

Into The Forest follows teen sisters Eva and Nell in the not-so-distant future as they forage through the forest that surrounds their rural home following the collapse of society.

Page, a native of Nova Scotia, is one of the producers of the Canadian film.

Last summer, the 27-year-old filmed X-Men: Days of Future Past in Montreal.

Page publicly came out as gay in February.

Wood, whose marriage to actor Jamie Bell ended in May after less than two years, came out as bisexual in 2011.

The 26-year-old’s films include 2011′s The Ides of March and 2008′s The Wrestler.
