» PS3 “Beyond: Two Souls” stars Ellen Page

by Stephanie Beaumont, published on June 4, 2012

Beyond: Two SoulsAt the Sony Pre-E3 Press Conference in Los Angeles earlier tonight – it was announced that Halifax, Nova Scotia's own ELLEN PAGE will star as Jodie Holmes in their newest title for PlayStation 3 – BEYOND: Two Souls

The video above features Quantic Dream's game director David Cage making the announcement and promising that “BEYOND will be unlike anything else you've experienced before".

Beyond: Two SoulsSpanning 15 years of Jodie's life, the game deals with the mysteries of life after death and a mysterious invisible entity named Aidan (the other soul in the Two Souls scenario we're guessing). Through incredible action scenes and dramatic chapters – the central character traverses the globe, facing adversity at every turn - the decisions you make will determine her fate. You must be 17 or older to view the trailer – you can click here to link to that.

To Rome with LoveIn other Ellen news – her much anticipated Woody Allen project TO ROME WITH LOVE is now set for release next month - July 6th to be exact. That's 2 weeks later than the originally announced date post (no word on why). We're hopeful there will many talk show appearances to support the film leading up to the premiere.

Her other 2012 release THE EAST which we told you about back in March (story) is now in post production.

Touchy Feely castEllen is currently on location in Seattle, Washington shooting TOUCHY FEELY with Ron Livingston (Office Space) and Allison Janney (The Help). The comedy, written and directed by Lynn Shelton (Humpday) features an ensemble cast and centres around a message therapist played by Rosemarie Dewitt (Standoff) who suddenly finds the human body repulsive. That film is scheduled for a 2013 release.

Stay tuned for more on Ms. Page in the days to come.
