» 'Twilight,' 'Inception,' 'Potter' Lead 2011 MTV Movie Awards Nominations

by Scott Harris, published on May 3, 2011

The day movie fans have long dreaded is finally here, because it's time to finally choose once and for all: "Twilight" or "Harry Potter?"

That's just one of the many difficult decisions in store for film buffs as MTV has announced the nominees for their annual Movie Awards, with "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse" shockingly leading the nominations with eight gongs, followed by "Inception"'s seven and "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 1"'s six.

"The Social Network" and "Black Swan" join those three to vie for the Golden Popcorn in the Best Movie category.

Hosted by "Saturday Night Live" star Jason Sudeikis, the 20th annual MTV Movie Award will be aired live on MTV on Sunday, June 5, at 9 p.m. ET. Beginning today, though, fans have until June 3 to submit their votes in categories like "Best Jaw-Dropping Moment," "Best Line From a Movie" and, of course, "Best Kiss," which features a showdown between "Twilight" favorites Taylor Lautner and Robert Pattinson, each of whom shared an on-screen lip lock with Kristen Stewart.
