A mind boggling trip through the path of a dream from the eyes of Christopher Nolan.
The Basics: Dom Cobb (Leonardo DiCaprio) lives quite the interesting life. Banished from the U.S and not allowed to be with his family, Cobb has become a thief...but not your typical thief. No, Dom and his team of crackpot specialist steal ideas from deep within people's mind. But when Dom gets a chance at redemption and freedom from the mysterious Saito (Ken Watanabe), he quickly takes the oppurtunity. But this time, Dom's task is much different; instead of stealing an idea...Dom's going to have to implant one.

What is it nominated for? Nominated for a total of 8 nominations (tied for third most nominations).
Does it deserve to be nominated? Inception was probably the most creative film of the year. Well much debate is put upon whether or not it is a thought provoking film or not, you can't deny the effort and time that Christopher Nolan put into this film. Well it's not perfect, it truly does illustrate a group of people at the top of their game. You'll be hard pressed to find a better film this year.
-James Franco was in talks to play Arthur in the film, but dropped out. Then Cillian Murphy dropped in and took his place. Danny Boyle then brought in James Franco to take the place of Cillian Murphy in 127 Hours. Actor Swap!
-Christopher Nolan's first original screenplay not based on a comic, other movie, or short story since his directorial debut Following.
-Speaking of Following, the two main characters in both Inception and Following are named Cobb. They are also both theives.
-Christopher Nolan and Emma Thomas' only choice to play Cobb was Leonardo DiCaprio.
-The third Christopher Nolan movie in five years in which Cillian Murphy's character spends a significant portion of his on-screen time with a cloth bag over his head.
