Coming up with the best films of the year is tough enough. The list is varied and long for everyone. But choosing from the thousands of films produced in an entire decade? It's nearly impossible.
Honestly, I was a little nervous going back and looking at my best and worst lists of the past 10 years -- afraid I was going to find a new "Pink Panther" (the Steve Martin one), or just about anything with a live-action Eddie Murphy, in that illustrious group.
Didn't happen, but I'm sure there are some films on my list that will result in a what-the-heck-was-he-thinking" reaction.
Undaunted, I must proceed, so here we go. Please save your applause -- or boos -- for the end.
6. JUNO (2007) -- This wonderfully witty film addresses the issue of a pregnant teenager with about as much charm and understanding as one could hope for. It offered breakout roles for Ellen Page and Michael Cera and introduced the world to writer Diablo Cody and a terrific young director, Jason Reitman.
