New movie stills and official US release dates for »SUPER« / Screenings in Italy / »Inception« on DVD/Blu-ray on 12/02/2010

Earlier this week, director James Gunn revealed some new stills and finally confirmed the first US release dates for »SUPER«. The movie will land in theatres in Los Angeles and New York City on April Fool's Day (April 1) before it hits more screens in fifteen to twenty of the twenty-five biggest markets in the United States on April 8, 2011. Whether it then gets a wider release depends a lot on the general interest and what the moviegoers and fans demand and want. So if you'd like to have a screening in your area, tell your local theater you want »SUPER«! Moreover, Gunn has announced that his superhero comedy might also be available via Video-On-Demand at the same time. If you live in North Italy, you have the unique chance to meet him and see the movie at the 28th Torino Film Fest this weekend (December 3 and 4, 2010). Visit torinofilmfest.org for screening times and more information and check the official schedule, which provides links to buy tickets online. Once again, please let people know about »SUPER« and help to promote it by spreading the word on Twitter, Facebook, boards, blogs and so on and so forth. According to Hitfix, Warner Bros. held a party for select members of the media and the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (best known for its annual Golden Globe Awards ceremony) in the Hollywood Hills last Tuesday to celebrate the upcoming DVD / Blu-ray release of »Inception«. While the German release date is officially set for December 3, Amazon Germany already started to ship pre-ordered copies yesterday. As a result I have received my copies in the mail today as you can see on the photos below. I highly recommend that you buy this terrific, innovative and mind-blowing sci-fi thriller. Not only because it was simply one of the best movies this year (and the first movie I have seen three times in theater), but also because both editions have some great extras and the current street price of $16.99 (DVD) and $24.99 (Blu-ray) is more than fair!
